Just another Tuesday in Memphis…

Made some more amazing music/movie history yesterday in the Nutbush area of Memphis on the set of our new movie “Dig That, Zeebo Newton” with Henry Goodman, Lil Wyte, Wendell Spencer, and the Oscar-winning Frayser Boy. Many thanks to Ricky Greenway, Wade Long, and Steven Kitchens for their help, and many thanks to Billy & Michelle Pounds for being so hospitable and allowing us to film there. Another outstanding day of movie-making…

Oh Boy!

Shot an amazing scene Sunday with the legendary Al Kapone, who plays the role of Larry in our movie ‘Dig That, Zeebo Newton’. He is an amazing artist with many talents, and I am honored he shared them with us. Many thanks to Keith and Jerene Sykes for being so welcoming and allowing us to film at their place, and to my bro Ricky Greenway for his behind-the-scenes help. This project has some amazing people involved in it, and I am truly grateful to everyone…

One of the coolest moments in my life and career thus far took place this past Wednesday in a scene where Jerry “The King” Lawler grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and yelled in my ear. I’m still flabbergasted that he plays the role of Sheriff Dickson in our new movie “Dig That, Zeebo Newton”. It’s a true honor to work with this legendary guy…

My sister Jessica (aka Cookie) is the coolest person I’ve ever known! Such an amazing personality! We are having a lot of fun making our movie “Dig That, Zeebo Newton” together, and I am so glad to see her having such a good time. She is a natural actress and her performance in this movie is extraordinary. There are no words to fully express how thankful I am for her…

Wow! What a day!

Today was one of the most EPIC days I’ve ever had as an entertainer! It was my honor and privilege to shoot scenes for our movie ‘Dig That, Zeebo Newton’ with some of the most legendary people I’ve ever been blessed to work with. From left to right: My sister Cookie (Jessica Rae), Keith Sykes (Milton), Jerry “The King” Lawler (Sheriff Dickson), myself (Zeebo Newton), Willie “Too Big” Hall (Albert), and Doug Ammons (Deputy Walters). I am completely amazed by the extraordinary job everyone did, and I am humbled by their graciousness and professionalism. Many thanks to everyone at the Shelby Forest General Store for welcoming us with open arms, and many thanks to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for providing their services for today’s scenes. I cannot fully express how thankful I am to everyone involved in this movie, but I hope you know how much we appreciate you. We are having SO MUCH FUN! This was one for the record books…
